OUR Story

KoKoDoo was founded by Joseph and Mary Yoon in 2006 who initially launched a Korean restaurant and quickly grew to open two take-away shops. Following Mary’s completion of the Cordon Bleu course in 2016, they relaunched as KoKoDoo at street food level where they have since enjoyed great success. Having ran a restaurant and several takeaway shops for over 10 years, we wanted to bring that knowledge and experience to the streets – becoming pioneers in the street food industry with our famous Korean Fried Chicken. Our experienced head chef and owner takes her inspiration from her Korean background and professional knowledge in Japanese food, as well as her skills as an experienced Cordon Bleu chef. Since launching Kokodoo at top estates in London such as Broadgate Circle, Paddington Central and Chiswick Park, we’ve quickly become the most popular food truck wherever we go and have been named as the top seller at StreetDots where more than 100 traders are registered.

We traded at Blenheim Food, Festivals, Bike Shed Festival at Tobacco Dock, Hackney half marathon and summer food festivals at Alexandra Palace, to name a few.

We have also become a regular trader at London Zoo Night during June and July.

We won the judges vote in the 2019 British Streetfood Awards and were Michelin-starred chef Rupert Rowley’s top choice.

Finally, we are proud to be a trader at a World Heritage Site in the Tower of London serving more than 1000 people and our food was greatly received by visitors at Hampton Court Food Festivals.

Kokodoo expanded into corporate canteens such as Goldman Sachs, UBS and Amazon’s headquarters in London.

We’ve also signed a contract at Lord’s Cricket Ground to be a caterer throughout the cricket season.
